E-Signature Software · 2026 reliability ranking
Most Reliable E-Signature Software (2026)
We ranked 14 e-signature tools by real-world reliability over the last 90 days, using 54 status page incidents and our own around-the-clock uptime checks. E-signature tools carry contracts, quotes, leases and onboarding forms from sender to signer, so an outage stalls deals and paperwork that is often time-sensitive. When sending, signing links or completion emails fail, a small business can lose a signed quote to a competitor or miss a filing deadline, and staff end up chasing signers by phone. Most of these services also run the APIs and CRM integrations that send documents automatically, which makes their incident history worth checking before you commit.

E-Signature Software reliability at a glance

- Together they published 54 incidents in the last 90 days, 8 of them partial or major outages.
- BoldSign, Juro, Signeasy, SignWell reported no incidents at all in that time.
- The typical vendor takes 4h to resolve an incident. SignNow is fastest, at 8m on average.
- Docusign reported the most incidents (17 in 90 days).
What to check before you choose a e-signature tool
- Check which parts of the service fail most often. Sending and signing outages stop deals; delayed completion emails or reports are an inconvenience.
- If you send documents from a CRM or your own app, look at API and integration incidents, not just the web app.
- Notice how often email delivery problems appear in the history. A signer who never receives the link is as stuck as one facing an outage.
- Subscribe to the vendor's status page so you know about a problem before a client tells you their signing link doesn't work.

Frequently asked questions
What is the most reliable e-signature tool?
Based on the last 90 days of data, BoldSign is the most reliable e-signature tool we track, with a reliability score of 100.0/100 and 100% uptime.
How do you measure e-signature tool reliability?
We poll each vendor's public status page every few minutes, record every incident, and run our own uptime checks against each vendor's login and customer-facing pages. Uptime (40%), incident frequency (20%), average time to resolve (20%) and transparency (20%) combine into one score out of 100.
How often are these rankings updated?
Continuously. Status pages and uptime checks run every five minutes and scores are recalculated several times an hour.
Can vendors pay to rank higher?
No. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled, shown separately from the rankings and never change a vendor's score.
